Born in Sweden, in 1979, from a Swedish / American background, Sofia Sköld moved to London in 2003, where she graduated from Central Saint Martins College of Art and Design. She currently works as an artist and designer in Hackney, London, UK and in the Swedish countryside.

Sofia’s abstract, intuitive paintings are often created as landscapes. Landscapes open to interpretations by the viewers. Ideas, connotations, memory connections. Abstractions; A universal language that invites to conversation, reflection and reshaping of perception. The paintings made from oil, egg tempera or chalk / mineral paint.
