High Summer, Hackney
Studio work from the last couple of weeks. Working on a series of paintings that I currently call “Too Loud – Too much”. The studio smells of turpentine and it is high summer outside.
Radicchio de veneto
Radicchio de veneto, prison walls, Madame Butterfly and Mr Pinkerton. High summer in Hackney, slugs in the garden.
Travelled south on the train
Travelled south by train to visit Agnese and Tom in their new home in the village Ovingdean. My painting “Just before breakfast” on their wall, in conversation with the sky and the sea outside. It was my first acquaintance with the villages Ovingdean, Rottingdean, Woodingdean, Saltdean. We walked the hills, and watched the horizon.
